JKEDI’s 10 Day Entrepreneurship Dev Prog on Tejaswini Scheme concludes at Poonch

Poonch : Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) District Centre Poonch, Friday concluded the Ten Day Entrepreneurship Development Program under Tejaswini Scheme of Mission Youth here at DECC, Poonch.
The training program was attended by 29 budding female Entrepreneurs of District Poonch. District Officer-JKEDI Arif Nabi welcomed the Chief Guest Mohd Akber, Deputy Director, DECC Poonch. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Guest stressed the need to overcome Unemployment in J&K and encouraged the participants to become self-reliant by starting self employment ventures. The Chief Guest further expressed gratitude to the participants who had come forward despite all odds to avail the benefits under Tejaswini Scheme and promised every possible support from District Administration in this regard. The Chief Guest later distributed Training Certificates among the participants who had successfully completing the Training Course.
The budding Female Entrepreneurs were exposed to the following activities during the program which included; Basic Business Concepts such as Business Plan Formulation, Marketing Strategy, Accounts Management &Industrial Visit etc, informed Rashid Mehmood-Course Coordinator of the Program. The budding female entrepreneurs have opted the following activities; Multi-Utility Stores, Beauty Salons, Cement, Shuttering Stores, Boutiques & Cosmetic Stores etc.
Arif Nabi presented vote of thanks and emphasized the need for participation of females in such schemes and programs in order to overcome the menace of unemployment in J&K.
The beneficiaries shall be extended a Term Loan Facility up to Rs 5.00 lakh by J&K Bank, with subsidy up to Rs 0.50 lakh or 10% of the Project Cost whichever is less, besides an interest subsidy up-to Rs 0.60 Lakh.
