DDC Chairperson Pulwama chairs Council meeting

Pulwama : The District Development Council meeting was held here Friday under the chairmanship of its chairperson, Syed Bari Andrabi.
Among others the meeting was attended by DDC Vice Chairperson, Additional District Development Commissioner, Dr Sheikh Ab Aziz, DDC Members and PRIs besides all district and sectoral officers.
At the outset, DDC Chairperson apprised the Council about the guidelines for the formulation of the plans under the District Capex budget 2022-23.
Addressing the meeting, the Chairperson asked the DDC members to utilize the DDC grant judiciously in high priority sectors in coordination with the line departments.
He complimented all the DDC members for their cooperation to ensure formulation of plan timely.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chairperson informed that a special thrust has been laid on formulation of viable plans as per the guidelines issued by the Finance Department and maintaining the sanctity of the 3-tier system of Panchayati Raj.
He further asked the DDC members to personally supervise and monitor the pace and quality of the works to be undertaken during the next financial year in their respective jurisdiction.
