Jammu : Additional Deputy Commissioner Jammu (Law & Order) Shyambir chaired a meeting with the officers of various departments to review arrangements for ensuing holy month of Ramdan, here Friday at DC Office.
The ADC held threadbare discussions with the officers of concerned departments and representatives of religious organizations.
The participants projected their demands related to water and power supply, security and sought immediate measures for improving sanitation and strict check on quality and rates of essentials.
After listening to their demands, the ADC directed the concerned departments to make adequate arrangements to provide better amenities to the people and intensify market checking to keep check on overcharging and of daily use items.
He asked Jammu Municipal Corporation to intensify sanitation operations and ensure cleanliness in and around the Mosques.
The DDC directed officers to work in synergy to carry out market checks and monitor quality of edibles like mutton and poultry. He also stressed on keeping regulation of the rates of commodities. He asked the concerned officers of FCS&CA to ensure adequate supply of ration during Ramzan.
PDD and PHE departments were directed to ensure uninterrupted power and water during Sehri and Iftar to avoid inconvenience to the people.
He asked all the departments to ensure adequate facilities provided by their respective departments.
ACG Rakesh Dubey, Deputy Director Information PR, Gul Hassan Kraipak along with senior officers from Security, Police, PDD, PHE, JMC and other concerned departments were present in the meeting.
