Poonch : A meeting of District Level Task Force (DLTF) on Mission Youth was Thursday held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Inder Jeet here in the conference hall of DC office Complex.
Several confirmations and proposals were presented before the DLTF for deliberations and approval by the Committee.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the respective nodal officers to maintain the relevant details of the plantation drive during Mission Youth outreach programmes and get them geo tagged. The DDC and ADDC appreciated the contribution of the Horticulture department.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the Committee to formulate a District Mission Youth Plan on the lines of panchayat plan, skill developmental plan etc. Digitization of the schemes / initiatives of mission for effective reach to the masses, awareness activities, creation of WhatsApp groups at the BLO level among other activities were also discussed.
Besides this, the DDC also directed the District Level Task Force Committee to motivate the youth regarding social audit of all developmental schemes whenever they visit the concerned panchayat/fields because they have ample of time in the financial year 2022-23.
The chair also informed that there was a lot of state land available in patches across the District which can be utilized for Mission youth activities in future.
The performance and active participation of the Education department in implementing the ideas and schemes of Mission Youth was highly appreciated.
The meeting also discussed the achievements recorded during the youth engagement events and outreach programme held from Feb 15, -2022 to March 24, 2022. Around 10000 persons, mostly members of youth clubs , PRIs, members of civil society , prominent citizens participated in the series of events held during the campaign held to inform the public about the mission youth schemes, drug de-addiction,social auditing ,crime against women and awareness regarding various self employment programmes.
Around 2000 youth from different Panchayats were also registered during the programs and gave their feedback about Mission Youth initiatives.
Meanwhile, an interview-cum DLIC meeting was also held regarding implementation of newly launched Spurring Entrepreneurship Initiative (Self employment scheme) under the aegis of J&K Mission Youth. As many as 70 cases under SEI scheme were approved in the meeting.
All the district level task force committee members attended the meeting.
