DECC Jammu organises webinar on Youth Employment Prog for students of GDC Kunjwani

Jammu: District Employment & Counselling Centre (DECC), Jammu, in collaboration with the Psychological cum Career Counselling and Placement Cell of Government Degree College Kunjwani/Sainik Colony, organised a webinar on the topic “Youth Employment Programme by TCS under CSR Umbrella”.
At the outset, Nisar Ahmed Wani, Director Employment, J&K threw a detailed light on unemployment challenges in India.
AmanTyagi, YEP Zonal North India Manager, TATA Consultancy Services was the guest speaker. He apprised the participants about free youth employability training programmes for the college students andspecial provisions for SC/ST and other economically weaker candidates. He also explained in detail various training programmes launched by TCS for final year students.
Prof. Hans Raj, Principal of the college appreciated the efforts of the organisers especially DE&CC for taking the initiatives to increase the employability skills among the non-engineering graduates. “Given the right opportunities and learning skills, students from socially and economically under-privileged families can also realize their potential” he added.
Dushant Singh, Career Counselling Officer, DE&CC, Jammu;ShivaliChoudhary EO, DE&CC, Jammu; Dr.ArtiPandoh Gupta, Convener, Psychological cum Career Counselling and Placement Cell coordinated the programme. Dr.RohiniJamwal, Dr.AshaqHussain, Prof.ShamshadBibi, Prof.BushraNizami were the members of the organising committee.
About 65 participants including faculty members and students of the college attended the webinar.
