Army Commander, Western Command awards spl medallion & commendation card to Div Com(J)

Jammu : General Officer Commanding in Chief (GOC-in-C) Western Command, Lieutenant General, Nav K Khanduri Wednesday felicitated Divisional Commissioner Jammu with his Medallion & Commendation Card. The same was pinned on his behalf by the Corps Commander at a ceremony organised in Tiger Division, 26 Inf Jammu.
The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 9 Corps, Lieutenant General PN Ananthanarayanan also felicitated. Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Dr Raghav Langer and Deputy Commissioner Samba, Anuradha Gupta for their special efforts.
Divisional Commissioner Jammu and Deputy Commissioner Samba were felicitated for their outstanding work and maintaining good coordination between the civil administration and army authorities.
Complementing the efforts of Divisional Commissioner the GOC said that Dr Raghav has played a significant role in resolving various land issues by regular follow up and review of the pending land acquisition/requisition cases, convening regular meetings with Deputy Commissioners of Jammu Division and the army formations to expedite the progress of Land acquisition/requisition cases.
After putting concerted efforts and follow up with Home Department, approval was accorded for granting NOC for Nandani Field Firing Range. The District Administration Samba finally granted NOC for Nandni as the Small Arms Field Firing Range.
Coordination was done regarding the Covid-19 mitigation efforts especially during the 2nd wave, especially with regards to supply of provisioning of liquid oxygen for Military Hospital Satwari and other field formations through District Administrations concerned.
A holistic approach and timely information sharing regarding the developmental projects was ensured to achievetime-boundd outcome.
Successful Celebration of Republic Day 2022 event and conduct of beating the Retreat Ceremony was possible due to apt coordination between Army, Police and Civil Administration.
Lt General Nav K Khanduri in his commendation card referred that “I praise Dr Raghav for showing meaningful devotion to duty and efficiency and setting an example for other people in the army”.
Deputy Commissioner Samba was commended for her special efforts & contribution in resolving land related issue of Nandini Field Firing Range.
