ADC Doda reviews implementation of District Environment Plan

Doda : Additional Deputy Commissioner Doda Dr R K Bharti Wednesday chaired a meeting of the District Environment Committee and reviewed the implementation of the Annual Action Plan.
With regard to disposal of bio medical waste, the Medical Superintendent Associate Hospital Government Medical College Doda informed that an effective mechanism was in place for the management of bio waste in consonance with the prescribed procedure.
The Chair directed the Chief Medical Officer Doda to hold a meeting with the Block Medical Officers and review the implementation of the directions of the District Environment Committee with regard to the management of bio medical and other waste materials.
With regard to plastic waste management, the ADC directed the Divisional Officer PCC and all EOs to conduct extensive drives across their areas of jurisdictions under No Plastic No Garbage campaign and take appropriate action against the violators.
The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Panchayat Doda, CEO Doda, Divisional Officer PCC, Ex En Jal Shakti Doda, MS AH GMC Doda, DMO Doda, Functional Manager DIC, EO MC Bhaderwah, besides other concerned officials were also present in the meeting.
