Rajouri : A group of 35 farmers were Tuesday flagged off on a one-day tour to Hi-Tech Mushroom Farm R S Pura here under ‘Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture’ (MIDH).” The farmers drawn from Sunderbani and Siot Zone of Nowshera Sub Division were flagged by the Chief Agriculture Officer.
Farmers visited Hi-Tech Mushroom Farm at Village Badyal Brahamana, RS Pura spread over an area of 3 Ha. The visiting farmers were imparted training about the cultivation of Mushrooms on scientific lines. This high-tech Mushroom farm has a capacity of producing about 60 tons of Mushroom per season. This farm comprises 10 fully air-conditioned growth chambers of (70x16x14 feet).
Visiting farmers were highly motivated by learning about the new ways of mushroom cultivation and were motivated to start mushroom cultivation on commercial level in the coming season.
The Tour was headed by Joginder Singh SMS, Asha Anand Sharma AEA and Bhupinder Singh AEA.
