Hakeem pitches for respect to socio-political aspirations of people, peace in J&K

Srinagar : Chairman People Democratic Front (PDF ) and former Minister Hakeem Mohammed Yaseen has stressed for early efforts to end violence and bloodshed from turmoil hit Jammu and Kashmir. He said violence due to bullets has taken a heavy toll of human lives during last thirty three years thereby inflicting intense pain and miseries on the people irrespective cast, creed and religion.

Addressing one day convention of PDF workers on Tuesday , Hakeem while seeking an immediate end to violence in turmoil  plagued Jammu and Kashmir , said that if civil society and political parties at the helm of affairs fail to protect life and property of people from the onslaught of bullets , either from one side or the other , posterity will never forgive . He has urged the political parties , intelligentsia , civil society groups to join hands to bring Kashmir out from the dragon clutches of gun and violence .

PDF Chairman has appealed the Prime Minister Mr Narinder Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah to initiate confidence building measures through the process  dialogue and reconciliation as early as possible to restore peace and tranquility in the trouble torn Jammu and Kashmir . ” In a  democratic set up , significance of reconciliation can not be over ruled ,” Hakeem Yaseen maintained . He said Prime Minister has a massive mandate of country men who has guts to take extraordinary measures to restore peace in profusely bleeding  Jammu and Kashmir . He said announcement of a massive  employment package for a large number of educated unemployment youth in various central government departments , regularisation of all  casual ,need based , contractual and daily rated workers working in various government and public undertaking of Jammu and Kashmir would  go a long way to provide big relief to them and remove their alienation from the mainstream . He said respecting the socio political aspirations of the people was primarily essential to remove the prevailing alienation among the people and restoring their faith and trust in the system of justice and order. He said the people of Jammu and Kashmir have been repeatedly betrayed by the political parties’ right from1947 which was the root cause of present state of socio political uncertainty in Jammu and Kashmir. He said people of Jammu and Kashmir, who are peace loving by conviction, are eagerly yearning for peace but some elements within and outside the country were hell bend to keep Kashmir valley burning in the flames of violence to  satiate their vested political  interests . He has made a fervent appeal to the political  watch dogs , policy planners and intelligentsia of the country to rise to the occasion  to bring the dying Kashmir out of the ongoing naked dance of death and destruction . “Please have a mercy on the pathetic plight of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and allow us  to live in an atmosphere of peace and tranquility , Hakeem added . Hakeem Yaseen has asked the party men to further expand their outreach to the people at gross roots level and isolate those parties who have a habit to exploit emotions of innocent people for satiating their political interests .
