Jammu: Performance of banks reviewed at DLRC/DCC, DLRAC meetings

Jammu:A meeting of District Level Review Committee/District Consultative Committee (DLRC/DCC) for the Quarter ended December 2021 was held Monday here at DC Office Jammu to review the performance of Banks with regard to Deposits, Advances, CD Ratio and achievement under Annual Credit Plan for the FY 2020-21 for Quarter ending December 2021.
The meeting also reviewed the progress under various Govt. Sponsored and Social Security Schemes. The meeting was preceded by a Special Sub-Committee Meeting on CD Ratio.
The DLRC/DCC meeting was chaired by Ramesh Chander, Additional District Development Commissioner, Jammu whereas the Special Sub Committee Meeting was chaired by Yoginder Katoch, CPO Jammu.
ADDC Jammu expressed his concern over low CD Ratio of Jammu District which stood at 32.38% despite the highest advance portfolio of Rs 16,996 crore.
The LDM informed the house that Banks operating in Jammu District have recorded Deposits of Rs.52,480 Cr. and Advances of Rs.16,996 Cr. as on 31.12.2021. The achievement of Banks in the District under Annual Credit Plan 2021-22 stood at Rs.5428.84 Cr. against Annual Target of Rs.10080.60 Cr. recording growth of 54 % as on 31.12.2021.
Under the Priority Sector, the Achievement by Banks stood at Rs.2413.18 Cr. against Annual Target of Rs.6938.45 Cr. recording growth of 35%, while under the Non-priority Sector the achievement was Rs.3.15.67 Cr. against Annual Target of Rs.3142.15 Cr. recording a growth of 96%.
The ADDC also took an extensive review of Government Sponsored Schemes with Special focus on KCC, PM SVANidhi, PMEGP, JKREGP, NRLM, NULM, etc.
On the Atma Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyan front, Banks have sanctioned 4667 cases under PM-SVANidhi scheme out of which 4398 cases stand disbursed as on 24.03.2022 which was appreciated by the ADDC.
He advised all Sponsoring Agencies and Banks to spread awareness among people about various Self-employment Schemes launched by the Government and motivate them to avail the benefits of these Schemes for generating self-employment opportunities in the District.
He also asked all the line departments to increase their sponsorship of loan cases and at the same time directed all the Banks to clear the pending cases sponsored by different Govt. Departments/Agencies at the earliest and give a boost to lending, particularly under Agriculture & Allied activities, MSME, Housing and Education Sectors, to achieve a healthy CD ratio.
Among others, DDM NABARD Sanjeev Sharma, LDO FIDD RBI Rohit Kashyap, Chief Agriculture Officer, District Sheep Husbandry Officer, AD Fisheries, District Coordinators of J&K Bank, SBI, PNB, JKGB, representatives of other Banks and District Officers Government Departments / Agencies. The meeting ended with a vote of thanks by LDM, Ramesh Raina.
