MSK B’pora organizes workshop on Legal Rights of Women

B’porav: The Mahila Shakti Kendra (MSK) Bandipora in collaboration with District Legal Services Authority Bandipora on Saturday organized a workshop on Legal rights of Women at conference Hall of Mini Secretariat, here.
On the occasion, resource persons from DLSA Advocate Amir Shafi and Advocate Rubaya Hassan enlightened the participants about various legal and constitutional rights.
Chairperson CWC Gh. Mohammad Malik said that the motive behind organizing such events is to sensitize and enlighten women about their rights.
Speaking on the occasion, Child Protection Officer, Gowher Ahmed Sofi emphasized that such events should be made a regular feature to educate maximum women about their rights and opportunities made available by the govt. for their empowerment.
Jameela akhter case worker of one stop centre gave a detailed introduction about functioning of one stop centre at district Bandipora.
The workshop was concluded after Aisha Shafi district coordinator of MSK Bandipora stressed on the services provided by Mahila Shakti Kendra Bandipora and Sumaya Muzzafar presented vote of thanks to the resource persons from DLSA and other departments.
The workshop was attended by Child welfare committee, Gh. Mohd Malik, Advocates from District Legal Dervices Authority Bandipora, Supervisors, AWW, ASHA workers.
