Systematic Voters Education & Electoral Participation

Ramban : As part of National Voters Awareness Contest-2022, the District Election Department Ramban conducted series of SVEEP activities in educational institutions and prominent locations of the District to aware the general masses about the electoral process and to encourage them to participate in the National Voters Awareness Contest (NVAC).
The National Voters Awareness Contest has been launched by the Election Commission of India on 12th National Voters’ Day 2022- ‘My Vote is my Future- Power of One Vote’ to reiterate the importance of every vote through creative expression.
The Deputy District Election Officer, Ramban Lal Chand informed that the aim of organizing such events was to strengthen democracy through the active involvement of youth by underlining the importance of every single vote in a vibrant democracy, besides ensuring participation and inclusiveness of every section of the society.
During the camps, varied activities were conducted which included debate competitions, speeches, songs on election, poster making etc.Alarge number of students and other stakeholders participated. The activities also highlighted the importance of the vote and involvement of youth in the democratic setup of the country.
