SSP Budgam chairs crime/security review meeting

Budgam: In order to review the security scenario of District Budgam, SSP Budgam Tahir Saleem chaired a crime/security review meeting at Conference Hall District Police Headquarters Budgam.
According to a police statement, the meeting was attended by ASP Budgam Gowhar Ahmad, Dy SP Hqrs Budgam, Dy SP Ops Police Component Budgam, all SDPOs, SHOs and In-charge PPs of District Budgam.
During the meeting, crime, security scenario, law & order, & follow up of previous meetings was discussed. SSP Budgam also reviewed the progress of actions taken against OGW networks of terrorist organisations operating in the District.
Addressing the officers, SSP Budgam reiterated the importance of maintaining close synergy between Police and other agencies to meet the security challenges. He directed the officers to ensure best possible security measures and drills to prevent the terror incidents against innocent people.
He stressed stepping up operations/actions to check the movement of criminals, terrorists and other suspicious elements. He urged upon the officers to strengthen the general security grid of their respective areas of responsibility besides taking stringent action against those involved in anti-national and anti-social activities. During the meeting, crime disposal, disposal of ULA(P) cases, disposal of NDPS cases and mechanism of protection of protected persons was also discussed and necessary directions were passed. SSP Budgam also directed the officers to adopt a public-centric approach and to ensure redressal of their grievances.
