Pakal Dul HEPP: DDC Kishtwar reviews implementation of RR plan

Officers directed to start left out works early

Kishtwar: The progress of implementation of the Rehabilitation and Resettlement (R&R) Plan under Pakal Dul Hydro-electric Power Project was today reviewed by the District Development Commissioner, Kishtwar Ashok Sharma, here in a meeting with the concerned district officers and project authorities.
The meeting was attended by ADDC Sham Lal; ADC Kishori Lal Sharma; ACR Akther Hussain Qazi; SDM Dr Mohsin Raza; CHO Mushtaq Ahmed Wani; CAO, S K Bhagat; CAHO Sanjay Sen; DYSSO, Kharati Lal Sharma; Xen PWD, Marwah, Mohd Aslam Lone besides other concerned officers and project authorities.
During the meeting, the component wise developmental works projected under the RR plan were discussed threadbare.
The DDC took stock of the progress in the implementation of the various rehabilitation and resettlement works, including construction of a Hospital building costing Rs 3.53 crore at Suid Dachhan for which the funds have already been released and land identified.
The Executive Engineer PWD was directed to float the tender and start the work immediately.
While reviewing the construction of 2 passenger sheds and a Community hall at Kwar-Tangi, the DDC directed the concerned to start the work after the land is identified in coordination with Tehsildar.
On the issues of construction of Dachhan house at Kishtwar, the DDC discussed various technical aspects and model of the Guest house with the concerned.
The PWD was directed to submit the DPR immediately so that the work can be taken up timely.
About the construction of community halls at Soundar and Panjdhara undertaken by PWD Marwah, the concerned Executive Engineer was directed to meet the legal formalities and start the work immediately.
On the issue of shifting and realignment of the 11KV line, the chair was informed that the 50% work has been completed so far and the rest will be completed in a time bound manner.
Besides this, the status on the remodeling of Soundar and Chicha Kuhl, nagar Kuhl at Dachhan and providing of the drinking water supply facilities to PAFs of Kwar-Tangi and additional water lifting irrigation facility at Kishtwar was also reviewed in the meeting.
The concerned officials informed that the work on the Chicha Kuhl is 50 percent complete and the work on the Nagar Kuhl was in full swing and will be completed in stipulated time.
The DDC Kishtwar directed all the concerned to expedite the pace of work to complete the same in a time bound manner to benefit the affected Families.
Besides the progress on the Construction work of veterinary Dispensary at Kwar Tangi and Dachhan, the construction of Dipping vats at Dachhan and Kwar-Tangi, construction of Common Demonstration centre, upgradation of tourism sector, construction of recreation parks were also reviewed during the meeting and necessary directions were given to concerned.
Earlier, in a meeting with project authorities, various issues and bottlenecks were discussed threadbare and resolved.
The concerned officers were asked to work in a collaborative and collective manner to resolve the issues effectively.
