Orientation Prog on “Knowing NEP 2020 and its implementation” held at GDC Udhampur

Udhampur  Orientation Programme on “Knowing NEP 2020 and its implementation” was Friday held for faculty of Government Degree College Udhampur here under the supervision of college Principal, Prof Subhash Chander.
Prof Seema Kotwal, senior most faculty of the college was the Chief Guest of the programme.
The programme started with a welcome address by Prof Gurvinder Raj Verma, Coordinator IQAC followed by the overview presentation by Prof Babu Lal Thakur, HOD Department of Education.
He said that National Education Policy when fully implemented will certainly make education holistic and a lot more rewarding. He also touched the historical review of the previous education policies of the country.
Prof Pardeep Singh, resource person of orientation programme presented a detailed, comprehensive structure of NEP 2020 with regard to Higher Education and its implementation as drafted by Jammu University. Prof Pardeep engaged the audience by analyzing the main text, context and policy document of NEP 2020. He discussed in detail the aims, outcomes & strategies in implementing NEP 2020 at Higher Education level.
Besides many faculty members of the college, the programme was attended by Prof Romesh Kumar Atri HOD Botany, Dr Ved Kumar Dept. of Chemistry, Prof Satish Kumar HOD Zoology, Prof Kamal Kishore HOD Physics, Dr Naresh Sharma HOD English, Prof Samta Sharma HOD History and Prof Sanjay Kumar HOD Pol. Science.
Later, appreciation certificates were presented to the resource person by the Chief Guest on the occasion.
