DDC Chairperson G’bal grieved over Ganiwan, Kangan road accident

Amid dry, hot and humid weather, hundreds of people including men, women and children mostly bare foot visited the revered suffi Saint Shrine Sheikh Noor-Ud-Wali popularly known as Nund Resh at Charar-e- Sharief in Budgam district on Sunday for prayers to seek rainfall to end the drought season in Kashmir valley. G’bal : The Chairperson District Development Council (DDC) Ganderbal, Nuzhat Ishfaq and former Legislator from Ganderbal Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar expressed profound grief and sorrow over the loss of two lives in a tragic road accident in Hariganwan Kangan area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
A tourist vehicle met with an accident at Hariganiwan wherein 2 persons lost their lives and several got injured. Injured persons were shifted to SDH Kangan and some were referred to different Hospitals for special treatment.
Expressing solidarity with the bereaved families, the duo prayed for peace to the departed souls and strength to the families to bear their tragic loss.
Both the leaders also prayed for the recovery of those injured in this tragic accident and demanded that the Government should announce immediate ex-gratia compensation to the families of those tourists who lost their lives as well as compensation and free medical assistance to those injured.
They have asked the administration to make necessary arrangements in facilitating medicare facilities to the injured tourists immediately.
