DC Udhampur presides over weekly Block Diwas at Khour Gali

Udhampur : Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur Indu Kanwal Chib visited the remote area of block Moungri and listened to public issues and demands at weekly Block Diwas program held at PWD guest house Khour Gali Panchayat Damnote, the other.
BDC Chairman, Bimla Devi; DDC member, Jasvir Singh, Sarpanches, Panches besides a large number of people hailing from adjoining panchayats of Block Moungri attended the Block Diwas meeting and projected several demands and problems being faced by them. They demanded construction of 12 KM Ser Gali road, Up gradation of local Government Middle School, inclusion of left out eligible families under PMAY, provision of electricity poles, adequate staff inEducational institutions, release of Pending MGNREGA payment, compensation for damaged crop, Development of tourist village in the area, repair and renovation of tourist hut, drinking water facilities in health centres, schools and community centres at Khour Gali, Establishment of receiving station, early restoration of road connectivity to the area, additional class rooms,establishment of cold storage for preservation of fruits, Electrification of un-electrified area etc.
After listening to their demands and issues, the DC redressed many grievances on the spot by passing directions to the concerned officers.
Responding to the demands, the DC assured the PRIs and general public of the area that all their genuine issues would be addressed in a time bound manner. She directed the officers to work in coordination so that equitable development of all Panchayats was ensured.
The DC directed concerned officers to resolve the genuine demands of the public on priority and submit the detailed report of pending issues so that the same could be projected to higher authorities for consideration.
The DC requested the PRIs to work efficiently for implementation of welfare schemes on the ground to benefit the public. She asked the officers to inform the people about income generating and beneficiary oriented schemes launched by the Government of India and UT Govt.
Similarly, Block Diwas meeting was held at Town Hall Ramnagar under the supervision of Sub –Divisional Magistrate,Wahid-Ul- Rehman. A large number of PRIs and the general public participated in the Block Diwas and put forth their issues and demands.
