Police facilitate PCPG meetings in Bla, besides interaction meeting held in Budgam

Baramulla, B’gam: As a part of Public outreach programme, Police facilitated several Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meetings in Baramulla & Budgam.
According to a police statement in Baramulla, the meetings were held at ChenabalPattan, Shadra Uri, and Police Post Wagoora& Police Station Kreeri and were chaired by SDPO Pattan Mohammad Nawaz, SDPO Uri Junaid Wali and SDPO Kreeri Dr. Khalid Ashraf in their respective jurisdictions. Besides, SHOs, IC PPs and other officials of Police were present.
These meetings were attended by respectable citizens, Imams, members of Auqaf Committees, Numberdars, Chowkidars and Traders Federation of the areas. During these meetings, the participants raised various issues pertaining to Police and civil administration.
The chairing officers assured them that their genuine grievances pertaining to Police will be resolved on priority while as the issues pertaining to civil administration will be taken up with concerned authorities for their early redressal. The participants were also requested to co-operate with Police and administration in maintaining law & order in the area and in identifying anti-national & anti-social elements.
Police its statement further said that in Budgam, the interaction meeting was held at PS Chadoora and was chaired by SDPO Charar-i-Sharief Salim Jehangir along with SHO Police Station Chadoora.
The meeting was attended by Brick Kiln owners falling within jurisdiction of Sub Division Charar-i-Sharief. During the meeting, apart from rates of bricks, overloading, use of tarpaulin cover, over speeding of tippers, and other issues were discussed.
The participants in these meetings assured their full co-operation to Police and also appreciated the efforts of Police in facilitating community interaction meets where participants express their opinions freely.
