DIET Kud hosts seminar on NEP 2020 at GGMHSS Udhampur

Udhampur : District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) Kud Wednesday organized one day Seminar on National Education Policy 2020 for the Heads of Higher secondary schools and Zonal Education Officers of District Udhampur here at Martyr Captain Tushar Mahajan Model Higher Secondary school (Girls).
The seminar was inaugurated by the chief guest, the school Principal Gulzar Begum. Dr J N Baliya, Head Department of Educational Studies and Dr.Kiran Assistant Professor Department of Educational Studies Central University of Jammu were the key Resource Persons of the Seminar.
Dr Baliya laid emphasis on continuous development of Teacher reflections on provisions under NEP 2020. He informed the participants that very soon the Union Government is going to launch National professional Standards for Teachers (NPST) in order to evaluate the performance of teachers from time to time.
Dr Kiran spoke on equitable and Inclusive education in which she highlighted the importance of rights of persons with Disabilities (RPWD) Act 2016. She deliberated upon the features of National Education Policy 2020 which talks about the need to provide the learning opportunities to all belonging to the Socio- economic disadvantage groups. Sushma Gupta HOD convened the proceedings of the Seminar.
Later, Ashok Kumar Sr. lecturer presented the vote of thanks.
Among others, Ranjana Rani, HOD DIET, Shiv Kumar Sr. lecturer and Rajesh Sharma Sr. lecturer DIET were also present in the seminar.
