DC Reasi listens to people’s issues at Bhambla Panchayat, Assures quality disposal of grievances

Reasi : In continuation to the public outreach initiative of the government of Jammu and Kashmir UT, Deputy Commissioner ReasiBabilaRakwal Wednesday visited PanchayatBhambla and listened to public grievances at the Weekly block Divas meeting.
The camp was attended by DDC Reeta Sharma; DDC KewalKrishan; Chairman BDC Pawan Sharma; PO,ICDS RenuKumari; ACR AnirudhRai; CAO Sudhir Singh; CMO Rajeev Sharma; AD Fisheries Sanjesh Gupta; TehsildarPouniLaikh Raj; besides other district officers along with PRIs, BDOs, Sarpanchs and Panchs.
At the outset, BabilaRakwal interacted with the PRIs and locals, listened to their grievances and directed the concerned officers to ensure timely redress of genuine issues.
The PRIs and locals projected their demands seeking replacement of old water supply pipes and renovation of water reservoir, provision of cemented Electric poles for GodarKhalsa ward No.09, blacktopping of the local road, streamlining the functioning of Cooperative Bank, Public Health Centre for the area, up-dation of labour cards, PMAY houses for left out eligible families, permission from forest department for cutting of Khair trees, preference to local contractors, restoration of water wells, filling of vacant post of AWW, provision of Electric poles for Laiter, Anganwari Centre for BhagoteKhalsa, filling of vacant post of NO, permanent Matador stand for Bhambla, enforcement of fixed fare and display of the list at Bus stand etc.
After listening to the Public Grievances, the DC addressedscores of issues related to Water, Power, Road, Transport, Ration, Nutrition, Education, Healthon the spot after face to face deliberation with District Officers. For several other issues, the DDC asked the concerned department to redress the same in a time bound manner.
The Deputy Commissioner also exhorted the officers to welcome public grievance as a feedback for effective redressal and need based development.
Reviewing the development works, BabilaRakwal directed the concerned authorities to complete the important projects in a stipulated time frame.
The DC Reasi also distributed Golden cards among the beneficiaries and advised the people to register for Ayushmaan Bharat scheme at the earliest to avail the benefits of health insurance.
At the end, the DC Reasi urged upon the general public to ensure maximum participation in such meetings instituted by the government for making governance citizen centric and people friendly.
PRIs and locals appreciated and thanked the DC Reasi for listening to their grievances and requested for conducting similar events in future as well.
