DC B’pora chairs Distt Rent Assessment Committee meeting

B’pora: The District Rent Assessment Committee, which met here Wednesday under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, Dr Owais Ahmad, approved elevenrent cases pertainingto the Departmentsof Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, PWD, Handicrafts, Information, Education, Police and Sheep Husbandry.
The committee discussed the fixation of rent of various structures occupied by Govt. offices across the district and approved the rates as per 2018 notification.
The meeting was attended by Joint Director Planning Imtiyaz Ahmad, Executive Engineer R&B, officers of concerned departments and other officials besides concerned house owners.
Addressing the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner asked the officers to pay rent to the concerned owners of land and structures on time and ensure safety of the Government as well as rented property.
