Distt TB Control Society Ang holds sensitization prog for media persons at Kulgam

Kulgam The District TB control Society Anantnag Tuesday organized a Sensitization programme for media persons at District Headquarter, here.
During the programme, the experts through a powerpoint presentation highlighted detection methods, treatment procedures, besides the measures that have been put in place by the Government to eliminate this disease by multiple interventions of drugs and treatments.
The Experts on the occasion briefed the participants that TB is caused by bacteria that most often affect the Lungs and is a preventable and treatable disease.
They also highlighted the role of the media in educating the masses about TB to achieve the desired goal of its elimination.
Media persons were also apprised about the testing facilities available for detection of TB and treatment for patients in the district and other parts.
