DDC Rajouri reviews performance of RDD sector, lays emphasis on efforts for people’s expectations on dev

Rajouri: District Development Commissioner Rajouri, VikasKundal Monday took a comprehensive review of the performance of the Rural Development Department through virtual mode.
A discussion on various points including Awas plus, capex budget, bunkers, SBM, Unnati, plan formulation under MGNREGA etc was held threadbare in the meeting.
Discussing the implementation of the Awas plus, he was informed that against the target of 10546 houses, as many as 9050 houses have been sanctioned while 7518 FPOs have been generated till date. The DDC asked the concerned officers to complete the target at the earliest.
Seeking the progress concerning the plan formulation under MGNREGA, the DDC was apprised that special Gram Sabhas are being organised for the purpose. He stressed for early submission of the plan so that the works can be started at appropriate time.
Taking stock of the progress on construction of border bunkers, the DDC asked the concerned officers to ensure that all the sanctioned bunkers are constructed within the shortest possible time.
Similarly, the DDC also took a comprehensive review of progress of the other schemes being implemented by the department in the district including Unnati, SBM etc and asked the officers to put in added efforts to achieve the targets under various schemes in set timelines to meet the developmental aspirations of the general public in rural areas.
He also directed to maintain interdepartmental coordination for achieving the desired outcomes on the developmental front and issued strict instructions to expedite the ongoing development works for timely completion.
The DDC also asked for close monitoring of the works by paying regular field visits and ensuring that proper quality is maintained while executing work on the developmental works.
