A Day long prog on Drug de Addiction held at Budgam

Budgam : Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Budgam, Dr Nasir Saturday inaugurated a daylong programme on Drug De addiction held here at Sheikh-ul-Alam Hall, Budgam.
The event was organized by the Social Welfare Department and in collaboration with the Youth Club of District Budgam.
Resource person Mr Nasir Geelani Clinical Psychologist IMHANS spoke on Addiction, Causes, Risk-factors and early identification. Advocate Syed Mujtaba stressed on a Comprehensive Model to deal with Substance Abuse. Mr Gurmeet Clinical Psychologist IMHANS highlighted the management and Reduction in Sunstance Abuse, Ms Mehvish Tabassum LCPO briefed the participants about the Criminality and Substance Abuse.
During the day-long programme, the speakers threw light on behaviour changes among the youth and stressed and suggested such programmes should be conducted in rural areas so that youth should be much aware about the causes and preventions of Drugs.
The programme was also attended by ADC Dr Nasir, ACD Nuzhat Qureshi DSWO Dr Syed Farhana Asgar,Tehsil Social Welfare Officer Mushtaq Ahmad Parray,Clinical Psychologist Nasir Ahmad, Clinical Psychologist Gurmeet Singh ,Advocate Syed Mujtaba ,Women Welfare Officer DLCW-MSK, District Coordinator Ms Asifa Manzoor ,members of Youth Club,Staff of ICPS, CWC and other concerned.
