DDC Rajouri finalises strategy for third-party verification for ODF 2nd level

Rajouri : District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal Thursday chaired a meeting to finalize the strategy for conducting third party survey cum verifications of IHHL constructed/completed in the district for ODF 2nd level.
The meeting was attended by District Programme Officer, ICDS, Kartar Singh; Chief Planning Officer, Mohd Khurshid; ACP Rashid Kohli; CMO, Dr Shamim Un Nissa Bhatti; CEO Rajouri, Shailesh Kumari; AD Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Arif Lone; District Information Officer, Narinder Kumar, Deputy CMO, Dr Anees Altaf Nabi; CDPO Rajouri, Mohd Naseer, BDO Headquarter, Satpal, ENT, Surjeet Singh; CDPOs of different projects and ZEOS.
At the outset of the meeting, the ACP informed that the total household in the district are 1.35 lakh, while 97000 IHHL units have been completed in the district, and as per the directions a survey cum verifications needs to be conducted to fill the gap.
“This survey will provide the exact number of households still without IHHL units so that financial assistance can be provided for construction of IHHL units in the next phase,’ he added.
While chairing the meeting, the DDC said that a team of ASHA workers, anganwadi workers and BlO shall visit house to house for conducting this third party survey. He also directed the completion of this survey within 10 days. The DDC also informed that an incentive of Rs 20 per household verified will be given to the team.
He advised them to conduct this survey honestly, as it will form the baseline for providing the IHHL units among the beneficiaries in the next phase.
