ADC Budgam, stresses on decongestion of traffic jams in the distt at top review meet

Budgam, : The Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Budgam, Dr. Nasir Ahmad Thursday chaired a meeting of officers here to take stock of preparations for beautification of Budgam district.
The meeting was held in the backdrop of instructions passed by Chief Secretary during his recent visit to Budgam wherein he stressed upon beautification of Budgam under different parameters.
During the meeting, ADC stressed upon decongestion of traffic jams especially at Budgam town. Taking strong note of conversion of the basement meant for vehicle parking by some shopping mall owners, the ADC directed E.O Municipal Committee to furnish a list of such violators so that strict action under rules is initiated against them.
Speaking on the occasion, the ADC said that the District Administration is committed to ensure hassle free passage of vehicles.
It was given out in the meeting that the Vehicle Parking slot at Boys Higher Secondary School Budgam shall be made operational from Ist of April.
Further E.O MC shall depute two officials to regulate traffic movement outside DC office Complex Budgam wherein major bottleneck related to traffic jam has been noticed.
Among others the meeting was attended by District Information Officer Budgam, ARTO, Dy. SP Traffic Budgam, Tehsildar Budgam, E.O MC Budgam and other officials concerned.
