3 drug peddlers arrested in Pulwama, Contraband substances recovered: Police

Pulwama : Police on Thursday said that it has arrested three drug peddlers in Pulwama and also recovered contraband substances from their possession.
In a statement issued on Thursday police said that officers from Police Station Pulwama at a checkpoint established at Pinglena Pulwama intercepted a vehicle (Truck) bearing registration number PB06M-2585 with three persons on board identified as Jeet Masih son of Munshi Masih, Mandeep Singh son of Kashmir Singh and Gurpinder Kumar son of Chanchal Nath, all residents of Gurdaspora Punjab and upon checking recovered 4.5 Kgs of Fukki from their possession, stating therein further that the said accused have been arrested and shifted to police station where they remain in custody.
Police in it’s statement furthermore said that a case vide FIR No. 57/2022 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Pulwama and further investigation set into motion.
In the concluding para of its statement police appealed people to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighbourhood but warned that people found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt with as per law, stating therein further that consistent actions against drug peddlers are taken to keep society free from the scourge of drug menace.
