Police facilitates PCPG meetings in Pulwama, Budgam

Meeting with NoKs of slain cops held in Handwara

Srinagar  : In order to strengthen the Police Public relation, Police facilitated PCPG meetings in Pulwama and Budgam. Besides, Police also held meeting with NoKs of slain cops at DPL Handwara.
According to a police statement, in Pulwama, the meeting was chaired by DySP Hqrs Pulwama along with SHO PS Pulwama in which traders’ federation of Town Pulwama participated.
During the meeting various important issues were raised by the participants including installation of CCTV cameras, traffic management etc. The chairing officer assured participants that the issues related to Police will be resolved on priority while the other issues would be taken up with the concerned authorities for their early redressal. He added that police will provide its legal support as and when required for the betterment of the society accordingly.
Stating further that in Budgam, PCPG meeting was facilitated on the directions of SSP Budgam Tahir Saleem at Sub Division Police Office Khansahib, police in it’s statement further said that the meeting was chaired by SDPO Khansahib Ghulam Mohi-ud-din accompanied by SHO Police Station Khansahib and incharge PP Watrihail. The meeting, according to the police statement, was attended by respectable citizens of Khansaib area and representatives from all villages within the jurisdiction of Khansahib. During the meeting, participants raised various issues pertaining to Police and other Govt departments. The chairing officer redressed some of the issues pertaining to police on spot and assured them that issues and grievances pertaining to other departments will be taken up with concerned authorities for quick redressal.
Moreover, Police in Handwara on the directions of SP Handwara Sandeep Gupta held a meeting with NoKs of slain cops at DPL Handwara presided over by DySP DAR Handwara. The meeting was held to take stock of the welfare of the families of slain cops who laid their precious lives in safeguarding the sovereignty and integrity of the nation.
The chairing officer while addressing the NoK’s of slain cops assured them of every possible help and lauded the role played by their loved ones in sacrificing their lives for the sake of nation. He further said that J&K police will always remain indebted to their services by creating an atmosphere of peace & stability and also emphasised the NoK’s of slain cops to consider police department as their family and share their problems whenever need arises.
During interaction, various grievances were raised by the participants, who were assured by the officer that these issues will be taken up at appropriate level for timely redressal. The participants appreciated the efforts of Police in facilitating such interaction meets where participants express their opinions freely.
