Police facilitates PCPG meeting in Kulgam

Kulgam  : As a part of Public outreach programme, Police facilitated a Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meeting at Police Station Kund.
In a statement issued on Wednesday police said that the meeting was chaired by SSP Kulgam Dr.G.V. Sundeep Chakravarthy accompanied by SDPO Qazigund Govind Rattan, Naib Tehsildar Kund Mohammad Yousuf & SHO Police Station Kund. The meeting was attended by respectable citizens of Kanchloo, Kraloo, Kund and its adjacent areas, besides DDC Kund, BDCs, members of PRIs, Auqaf committees, chowkidars, traders federations and various market associations also participated.
During the interaction participants raised various issues of public importance and applauded the unwavering efforts for better Policing under the aegis of SSP Kulgam especially for his cooperation towards general public. During meeting local youth of the Kund area demanded construction of Police public school and playground.
SSP Kulgam assured the participants that their genuine grievances will be resolved on priority and every possible help will be provided to the people of the area. He also assured them that issues pertaining to civil administration will be taken up with concerned departments for their early redressal. He assured the people of the area that massive sports activities under civic action programme will be organized in future to indulge youth to hone their skills. The participants were requested to cooperate with Police in maintaining L&O/drug menace in the area and in identifying anti-national/social elements who always try to disrupt the peaceful environment.
The participants in the meeting assured their full co-operation to Police and Administration in tackling social evils and also appreciated the efforts of Police in facilitating community interaction meets where participants express their opinions freely. Later on, a newly constructed barrack for the jawans was also inaugurated at Police Station Kund.
