Covid-19 In JK: No death reported in last 24 hours , toll stays at 4749

Srinagar, Jammu: The Jammu & Kashmir Government on Wednesday said that 17 new positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19), 08 from Jammu division and 09 from Kashmir division, reported in last 24 hours raised the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 453493. It however said that no new covid death was reported in last 24 hours and as such the J&K’s overall covid death toll stayed at 4749.
Government in it’s covid bulletin also said that 39 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 22 from Jammu Division and 17 from Kashmir Division, stating therein further that no new case of Mucormycosis has been reported Wednesday, thus the total number of confirmed cases remains 51 across J&K.
On COVID vaccination, the bulletin informs that 19,809 doses of COVID vaccine have been administered in the last 24 hours bringing the cumulative number of doses administered across J&K to 2,17,44,328.
According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Corona virus (Covid-19), out of 453493 positive cases, 163 are Active Positive (57 in Jammu Division and 106 in Kashmir Division), 448580 have recovered and 4750 have died; 2327 in Jammu division and 2423 in Kashmir division.
The Bulletin further said that out of 23918162 test results available, 453493 samples have tested positive and 23464669 samples have been tested as negative till date. Besides, 37005 COVID tests have been conducted in last 24 hours.
Till date 6237654 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 33753 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 163 in isolation and 459001 in home surveillance. Besides, 5739987 persons have completed their surveillance period.
Providing district-wise breakup for positive cases reported Wednesday, the Bulletin said that Srinagar and Budgam recorded 08 and one fresh case respectively while as Baramulla, Kupwara, Pulwama, Bandipora Kulgam, Anantnag, Ganderbal and Shopian reported no fresh cases for Wednesday.
Similarly, Jammu and Doda reported 06 and 02 fresh cases while as Rajouri, Ramban, Poonch, Kathua, Reasi, Kishtwar, Samba and Udhampur reported no fresh cases for Wednesday.
Moreover, the bulletin also highlights that against the availability of 4838 dedicated level 1 & level 2 COVID beds, only 04 (0.08%) is occupied.
The bulletin informs that in case of any help, the general public can call J&K Centralised Health Helpline- Toll Free No. 104.In case of emergency, people can avail free ambulance services 24×7 by calling toll free number 108 while as pregnant women and sick infants can avail free services by dialing toll free number 102, the bulletin reads.
It also informs that the public can reach national helpline by dialling 1075.
