MSK, SLSA organise Awareness Prog on legal rights of women

Reasi : District Level Centre for Women Reasi (Mahila Shakti Kendra) in collaboration with District Legal Services Authority Reasi on Tuesday organised a Legal Awareness Programme on legal rights of women here at Panchayat Ghar Seela.
The programme was attended by Sarpanch, Ravi Kumar, a large number of women under JKRLM, local ladies, AWWs, DLSA Reasi and Staff members of Childline Reasi.
On the occasion, resource person Advocate Rashi Baru sensitised the participants about their legal rights and also briefed about the Violence and the types of Violence faced by the Women in general. They were made aware regarding prevention and elimination of violence against them and the role of women for the progress of the Nation as a whole.
Meanwhile, Monika Sharma, Women Welfare Officer and Surchika Sharma and Rita Devi District Coordinators informed the participants regarding women centric schemes. They apprised the participants that If anyone is facing any kind of Violence whether physical, sexual, emotional, economic and Dowry related harassment etc she can seek help by calling on Toll Free no. 181 to get Access to Justice, Access to Welfare and Access to District administration.
