Jammu : Continuing with its endeavour to provide financial assistance to the families of the Police personnel/SPOs who has passed away while in service, the Director General Police Dilbag Singh has sanctioned Rs 66 lakh as Special Welfare for NoKs of deceased Police personnel and over rupees 11.20 lakh as financial assistance/medical relief for SPOs to ease up their financial needs.
The DGP has sanctioned special welfare relief of Rs 22 lakh each in favour of dependents/legal heirs of deceased Police personnel HC Girdari Lal, SgCt Riyaz Ahmad and Follower Sanjay Kumar.These personnel has passed away due to illness/ natural death while in service.
Rupees one lakh each has been already paid to NoKs of deceased Police personnel through their concerned units for performing their last rites. The Special Welfare Relief is sanctioned out of the Contributory Police Welfare Fund.
In yet another order issued by Police Headquarters financial assistance /medical relief ranging between rupees four thousand to rupees fifty thousand has been sanctioned out of SPO Contributory/ Police Pariwar Fund in favour of thirty eight SPOs to ease up their financial distress. Police Headquarters is running many schemes for the welfare of its personnel and their families. There are also schemes for the wards of Police personnel and SPOs. Besides, there are schemes for the NoKs of martyrs, their wards and also for the retired Police personnel and their spouses.
