DC Shopian pays surprise visit to Distt Hospital

Shopian The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya Tuesday paid surprise visit to District Hospital Shopian and took a thorough round of Emergency Ward, Surgical Ward, Pediatric Ward, Ayushman Bharat Help Desk Unit, OPD, Gyane, Store Room (Medicines) and District Tuberculosis Centre to review their functioning.
While inspecting the casualty centre, the DC interacted with the patients, doctors and the Para Medical staff on duty. He took direct feedback from the patients regarding providing of medicines, meal and other medical facilities to the patients and their attendants.
Interacting with the Chief Medical Officer, Shopian, doctors and para-medical staff on duty, the DC advised them to perform their duties as per the devised roaster. He advised the CMO and Incharge Medical Superintendent to provide the medicines and other medical facilities to the patients and remain caring and compassionate towards them.
Vaishya passed instructions to the Incharge Medical Superintendent to maintain complete cleanliness and provide hygienic patient care facilities to the patients and their attendants besides performing duties with utmost dedication and great zeal. He instructed that the bedding and blankets should be changed daily as per the colour coding mechanism in vogue.
The DC also directed CMO to personally monitor the functioning of the District Hospital and ensure that all healthcare facilities are being made available to the patients.
Later, Vaishya also checked the attendance of the health functionaries and daily stock entry register of medicines of District Hospital to ensure better medicare facilities being provided to the patients in the hospital.
The DC was accompanied by Tehsildar, Shopian, Fida Hussain and other officers.
