Kupwara : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Imam Din who is also District Programme Coordinator of MGNREGA Tuesday visited Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI) Salkoot Kupwara and interacted with the candidates who are currently obtaining skill training under UNNATI scheme.
The ADDC Kupwara, Altaf Ahmad Khan who is the Nodal Officer of UNNATI scheme was also present on the occasion.
Addressing the trainees, the DC said that the Government is committed to improve the livelihood of the unemployed youth. He appealed to the youth to take maximum benefit of the training programme and boost their livelihood opportunities.
The ADDC also spoke and interacted with the participants.
It was informed that skill training is aimed for the persons who have completed 100 days work under MGNREGA to make them skilled and increase their livelihood opportunities.
It was also informed that 15 candidates were selected for skill training by RSETI Kupwara, out of which 6 candidates had withdrawn themselves and only 9 candidates are currently getting the training under a 10 day orientation programme.
Meanwhile, the trainee participants expressed their satisfaction over the training programme.
