Rajouri: Director Funds Organization Jammu, Sukhwant Kour, conducted an extensive tour of Rajouri, Poonch and Kathua Districts to attend to the grievances of GPF subscribers.
On the instructions of the J&K Government, Funds organization has organized a week long grievance/awareness camps in all the District Fund Offices across Jammu and Kashmir from March 9 to March 15, 2022.
Numerous grievances of the existing GPF subscribers as well as the retired employees regarding payment of 2nd installment to the NPS subscribers, final payment of SLI policy, drawls of non-refundable subscription amount, correction of GP Computer Codes in the CPIS data etc were received and many of these were addressed on the spot, while for others the subscribers were advised to follow the correct procedure/submit the documents so that their cases are settled at the earliest.
The subscribers were also made aware about the various services being provided by the funds organization for their convenience.
It was informed that Funds Organisation is providing SMS service through which subscribers can know their subscription for the month. To avail this service, the subscribers have to get their mobile number registered with the concerned District Fund Office. The subscribers can also login to the official website of the departmentjkfunds.nic.in <http://jkfunds.nic.in/>to know about their credits and debits for the last five years. However due to lack of awareness, the subscribers are not availing these online services, and personally visiting the offices for this information.
The Director funds informed that J&K Funds Organisation was established in the year 1986 and there are around 1.15 lakh subscribers in Jammu Division.
Initially all the records were maintained manually and GP Number allotted to the subscribers used to change with his/her posting to other Districts.
Subsequently, the computerization in the Department was taken up in 2007-2008 and a unique computer code was allotted to each subscriber which remained the same for all the Districts.
However real time posting in the Gen Profit Application was initiated in 2017-18. Now with the introduction of more features in the software, there will be no need to get the Transfer Entries from one Fund Office to another and the same shall be fetched automatically from the database.
