DIG NKR visits B’pora, Chairs PCPG meeting, intact with cops

B’Pora : Deputy Inspector General of Police NKR Baramulla Udayabhaskar Billa on Monday visited District Bandipora and chaired a PCPG meeting. He also interacted with jawans at DPL Bandipora.
In a statement issued on Monday police said that on this occasion SSP Bandipora Mohammad Zahid, ASP Bandipora, Dy SP Hqrs Bandipora, Dy SP DAR Bandipora, DySP PC Bandipora and other officers were also present. The public meeting was attended by DDC, BDC Members, Chairman MC’s, Sarpanchs, Panchs, Civil society members, Traders federation, Transporters and other respectable citizens of district Bandipora.
During the meeting the participants raised various grievances. DIG NKR while addressing the participants said that the main aim of conducting police public interactions is to solicit suggestions and support from the people for eradication of various social crimes and highlighting of genuine grievances of pubic at concerned quarters and their redressal on priority basis. The participants appreciated the role of Bandipora Police for their professionalism in maintaining Peace and Public order in the district and keeping the criminal activities under check/combating drug menace and other crimes in the district. The public meet was also addressed by SSP Bandipora.
DIG NKR also held a Darbar with police personnel and heard their grievances patiently and assured them that their genuine grievances would be redressed on priority basis and exhorted upon them to remain cautious and alert to maintain peaceful atmosphere in the district as anti-national elements are making efforts to disturb it. SSPBandipora also addressed the cops and impressed upon them to work with same zeal in maintaining peace and tranquillity in the district.
