Traffic Police conducts police public meeting at Banihal

Ramban : Traffic Police, Banihal, on the directions of ADGP Traffic J&K and under the guidance of SSP Traffic NHW, Ramban Saturday conducted a Traffic Police, Public interactive meeting here at Dak Bunglow Banihal.
Dy. SP Traffic Banihal, Asgar Malik met with the President Municipal Committee, Banihal, President Beopar Mandel Banihal, Traders, Transporters, President Taxi, Metador, Busses Union etc besides, Senior citizens, Media persons, NGO Banihal, QRT, Red Cross Banihal, SDRF and others.
Several issues pertaining to traffic management were discussed in detail. The people highlighted various demands like parking issues in the Banihal town, sprinkling of water on roads in the town to avoid the dust and traffic jamming in the town.
They also asked the officers to keep check on triple riding on two wheelers, over speed; overloading and over charging by the taxi operates.
After patiently listening to their issues, the Traffic Police Officers have assured the locals that their projected demands will be solved on priority basis.
The Traffic Police also requested the people of Banihal to follow the extant traffic rules and avoid violations of Motor Vehicle Act. The Dy. SP Traffic Banihal also requested the public to join their hands with traffic police to resolve issues related to traffic management at ground level.
