SKUAST-J VC releases Publications of AEABM

Jammu : Vice Chancellor SKUAST-Jammu, Prof J P Sharma released four publications of Division of Agricultural Economics and ABM, including two books and two calendars for the benefit of entrepreneurs, students, stakeholders and farming community.
The book entitled “Entrepreneurial Opportunities in J&K and Organizational Support for Entrepreneurship Development” is authored and edited by Prof Jyoti Kachroo, Director P&M; Head, Division of Agricultural Economics and ABM; Dr Anil Bhat, Assistant Professor, Dr. Yamini Raut, Assistant Manager and Dr. Malika Sharma, Assistant Professor and another book on Cost of Cultivation of Major Crops of Jammu Division is authored by Dr. Sudhakar Dwivedi Associate Professor and Dr. Anil Bhat. Two calendars were also released during the Krishi Mela 2022.
Wall Hanging calendar in Hindi under the project funded by NABARD exclusively for vegetable growers of intermediate and temperate areas of Jammu division was also released, The Calendar prescribes complete practices for the cultivation of vegetables along with scientific recommendations.CGM NABARD, A. K. Sood was also present during the release.
The project team viz., Dr. Anil Bhat, Principal Investigator of the project and Dr. Jyoti Kachroo, Dr. Sudhakar Dwivedi, Dr. Lakshimi Kant Sharma, Dr. Satesh Kumar, Dr. S. P. Singh and Dr. Narinder Panotra, Co-Principal Investigators of the project contributed for the preparation of the calendar. Table calendar prepared under the RKVY-RAFTAAR project by Agribusiness Incubation Centre, SKUAST-Jammu was also released where Dr. Jyoti Kachroo, Dr. Yamini Raut and Tarunjeet Singh are the contributors. Dr. M.C. Sharma, Former VC and Director, IVRI, Bareilly, Dr. Ashok Kumar, ADG (Animal Sciences) ICAR, New Delhi, Dr. Sumati Sharma, Additional Director, DRDO, Padamshree Shri Bharat Bhushan Tyagi, K. K. Sharma, Director Agriculture, Jammu; Ram Savak, Director Horticulture, Jammu, Suraj Bhardwaj and Statutory officers of the University were also present during the release of publications.
The Vice-Chancellor, while releasing the publications, advocated that Agribusiness and entrepreneurship are playing an important role in the elevation of the agricultural sector and its various stakeholders.
The publications would prove to be a big storehouse of knowledge and help young entrepreneurs and farmers to think outside the box and come up with unique creative ideas for establishment of their agribusiness start ups.
The publications were released at the valedictory function of five day long Krishi Mela 2022 organised by SKUAST-Jammu.
