Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad was the Chief Guest of the occasion.
While, Director RSETI, Fiaz Ahmad Khan, other Officers technical staff and trainees were present in the valedictory function.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC said emphasis should be laid on the importance of self-employment especially in the current scenario when there is dearth of Government jobs. He added that the youth have to acquire different skills in order to become job providers rather than job seekers to create a movement of self-sufficiency.
The DC stressed the aspiring entrepreneurs to continue their journey with full confidence and determination to earn livelihood for themselves and their families with dignity and honour. He also urged them to come up with new and creative ideas to expand the ambit of the skill set of art and craft. He also asked them to avail financial assistance under various Government-sponsored schemes for establishing their income generating units.
He advised the staff of the training institute to mobilise more unemployed young talent and impart training to them for the overall socio-economic betterment.
The DC was apprised that the Institute conducted the course that included basic lessons on designing and tailoring besides soft skills needed for successful entrepreneurship.
While distributing certificates among the pass-outs on successful completion of the course, the DC said the Institute has to play a pivotal role in creating a self-employment culture among the unemployed youth.
On the occasion, Director RSETI apprised about the different skill development programs imparted by the bank’s training institute that acts as a nursery for start-ups and helps in the creation of sustainable livelihoods for the unemployed youth of the District.
Pertinently, J&K Bank’s RSETIs have been imparting training thereby upgrading the skill profile of youth geared towards entrepreneurship development with active support from the Government.
Later, the DC visited the Training Class Room at the RSETI and inspected the different works done by the pass outs.
