Police launch plantation drive in Budgam

Budgam: Police in Budgam launched a plantation drive in the premises of IPTS Heights School Khansahib. The drive was launched on the directions of SSP Budgam Tahir Saleem.
According to a police statement issued on Friday the SDPO Khansahib Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din flanked by forest officials and other officers of the Sub-Division Khansahib kick started the plantation drive.
The main aim of the drive is to promote greenery in our establishments as a part of larger sustainable ecological development. The preservation of our ecology assumes importance so as to stabilize our ecosystem in order to preserve the ecological diversity. Promoting greenery will help us to offset emissions which upset our ecological balance.
Addressing the students, SDPO Khansahib threw light on the importance of plants in our life. He said that being part of a responsible organization, we must plant trees to keep the nature in its best balance and we must gift our future generations a green and clean environment.
