Epidural Pain Block Performed at Govt. Rajiv Gandhi Hospital Gangyal

Jammu: For the first time since the inception of Spine OPD at Govt Rajiv Gandhi Hospital Gangyal, a Transforaminal Epidural Targeted Nerve Root Block was given to a patient suffering from Sciatica.The Patient was given a Root Block under guidance of C-ARM recently provided to the hospital. Patient had a Prolapsed Disc at L5 – S1 level with right sided Sciatica pain since the last 3 years.Pain block was given by Ortho Spine Surgeon Dr. Navdeep Singh and assisted by Anaesthetist Dr. Amit. Recent surgeries in the newly set up Operation Theatre of Rajiv Gandhi Hospital have only been made possible with the able guidance and active support of Director Health Services Jammu Dr. Saleem-ur-Rehman.
