DM asks Rev, Municipal officials to verify villages to be incorporated in proposed DDA

Tehsil level committees constituted to identify Gair Mumkin Khads, seeks weekly progress report

Doda : District Development Commissioner Doda Vikas Sharma Thursday chaired the meeting of key officials of Revenue, BDA and Municipal Council Doda and discussed the establishment of the Development Authority for Doda.
While discussing the proposal, the DDC asked the BDA to submit the list of villages brought under its ambit from time to time and also submit the details of notification with regard to the creation of the Development Authority, and current Master plan.
The Tehsildar Doda and EO MC Doda were asked to verify the villages khasra number wise which have been proposed to be incorporated in the proposed DDA so that the same are not left out. He further directed them to submit the factual report regarding the distance of the proposed villages from the town, total area and radius of the town including population etc for the better understanding.
With regard to the survey and verification of all the recorded Gair Mumkin Khads, the DDC ordered the constitution of the Tehsil wise committee with members from forest, I&FC, Revenue and RDD to complete the task.
“The Committee will verify the recorded Gair Mumkin Khads in the first instance which will be later on followed by the survey of those areas which have become flood prone zones in the recent times,” he said and asked the ACR to get the report from all these committees on a weekly basis.
Regarding establishment of the District Consumer Redressal Commission, the DDC was informed by the AD, FCS&CA that two locations have been identified across the district. The DDC directed to submit the proposal to the higher authorities Thursday itself for clarification.
The meeting was attended by ADDC Doda, ADC Doda, ADC Bhaderwah, CPO Doda, CEO BDA, ACR Doda, Tehsildar Doda, AD FCS & CA, EO MC Doda, besides representatives from I&FC department also attended the meeting.
