DC Doda reviews performance of RDD

Distt Admin asked to accelerate pace of work, adopt innovative methods for effective implementation of schemes

Doda : District Development Commissioner Doda Vikas Sharma Thursday chaired a meeting to review the performance of the Rural Development department. The DC reviewed the progress under schemes like MGNREGA, PMAY, AWAS plus, IHHL, etc being implemented by the Rural Development Department in the district.
The meeting was attended by ADDC Doda Pran Singh, CPO Doda Parshotam Kumar, ACD Doda Philail Singh, ACP Doda Ashfaq Khanji, DIO Doda, Ex En REW Doda and BDO Bhaderwah.
The DC reviewed block wise performance under MGNREGA in respect of percentage of Bill generation, completion status of work percentage of PDs generated, status of timely payment, geo tagging of pending works, delay compensation status, social audit, and percentage of expenditure in agriculture and allied works.
The DC directed the concerned to enhance the percentage of bill generation under MGNREGA so that the portal shows the exact figure of works completed in the district. He also instructed to speed up the uploading of PDs generation on designated portal and geo tagging of the remaining works. He emphasized sticking to the timeline envisaged in the Act.
The DC, while reviewing PMAY, entrusted ACD to set the timelines for completion of all pending works, Block wise.He also took stock of AWAS plus status and directed the BDOs to prepare a genuine list of left out eligible beneficiaries so that the matter was taken up with concerned authorities.
On the issue of AWAS plus beneficiaries of Bhaderwah Block, which are also enlisted in the PMAY Urban portal, the DC directed the ACD to remove the double entries of the beneficiaries at one of the portals.
The DC further directed the RDD Officials to accelerate the pace of work in their respective areas, adopt innovative methods for effective implementation of schemes, and involve people in the development process.
