Doda : The District Administration Doda on Wednesday organised weekly Block Diwas meetings across the designated places of the district to redress the public grievances and to provide varied services.
The program was held under the supervision of District Development Commissioner (DDC) Vikas Sharma.
The teams of different departments, along with the frontline field functionaries, delivered varied service to the people and listened to their grievances.
As many as 126 grievances/applications were received during the program, out of which 116 feasible grievances were redressed by the officers/officials of respective departments on the spot and rest were sent to the concerned quarters for time bound redressal.
The revenue department issued 12 category certificates, 154 Domicile certificates, besides 27 different revenue extracts and 10 families were covered under Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY SEHAT scheme during the day long program held across the district at already designated locations which includes Bhaderwah, Sub division Gandoh, Subdivision Assar, Subdivision Thathri and at headquarter Doda.
At Bhaderwah, many locals participated in the Block Diwas held at BDO office.
DDC member Thakur Yudhvir Singh, ADC Bhaderwah Ch. Dil Mir, Block Development Chairman, Omi Chand, listened to the issues projected by locals, sarpanches, and panches of different panchayats. The government officers provided various services and listened to the grievances and demands of people.
A side meeting was also held and chaired by ADC Bhaderwah during Wednesday’s block diwas programme to discuss the overall progress regarding developmental schemes, including PMAY Urban.
