Kupwara : The Chairman, District Development Council (DDC) Kupwara, Irfan Sultan Panditpori and Vice Chairman DDC Kupwara, Haji Farooq Ahmad Mir Wednesday said that Government is taking concerted efforts to provide potable drinking water to every village and habitation of the district.
They said 12 water supply schemes are coming up in the Lolab Sub division only, which will augment the water supply facilities in a timely manner.
The dignitaries were speaking at a function held at Wavroora Wednesday.
On the occasion one water Tanker, costing Rs.16 lakh was endowed to the public. The water Tanker was purchased from the constituency development fund of Vice Chairman, Haji Farooq Ahmad Mir.
The concerned officers and engineers were present at the occasion.
In his address Haji Farooq said that he is himself aware of the developmental requirements and needs of the people and is committed to deliver his best for the upliftment of the people.
