Awantipora : As a part of public outreach programme, Police in Awantipora facilitated Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meeting in the lawn of Ziyarat-e-FaizPanahTral.
In a statement issued on Wednesday police said that the meeting was organised on the directions of SSP Awantipora Mohd Yousuf and was chaired by SDPO Tral Shri Mubashir Rasool along with SHO Police Station Tral. The meeting was attended by Chairman Citizen Counsel Tral, Traders federation and shopkeepers of Tral town.
During the meeting, participants raised various issues including drug menace, thefts, black marketing and other several issues. The chairing officer assured the participants that their genuine grievances will be resolved on priority while as the other issues will be taken up with concerned authorities for their early redressal. The chairing officer also sought their cooperation in maintaining peace & stability in the area besides, identifying anti-national &anti-social elements.
The participants in the meeting assured their full co-operation to Police in tackling social evils and also appreciated the efforts of Police in facilitating community interaction meets where participants express their opinions freely.
