Poonch : As part of the pension Week celebration being held from March 7 to March 13, Labour department organised series of awareness camps on pension scheme (PMSYM) which is meant for Un-organized workers falling in the age groups of 18-40 years, like MG-NERAGA workers, small shopkeepers, drivers, conductors, agriculture workers, construction workers .
In this connection mobile van carrying IEC material including audio and visually material pertaining to the scheme was also displayed in order to give wider publicity to the scheme.
According to Assistant Labour Commissioner Abid Shah, Deputy Commissioner, Inder Jeet also held a meeting with line departments linked with Un-organized workers and set targets for each department to bring the eligible beneficiaries under the ambit of Pension scheme PMSYM.
Assistant labour commissioner added that on the directions of DC Poonch many more awareness camps will be organised at various places to sensitize eligible beneficiaries about the benefits.
