Militant associate of LeT arrested in Sopore, Arms & ammunition recovered: Police

Sopore : Police on Tuesday said that it has arrested a militant associate of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) militant outfit in Sopore along with arms & ammunition.
In a statement issued on Tuesday police said that while acting on specific information regarding movement of ANEs in Nadihal area of Rafiabad Sopore, a joint cordon & search operation was launched by Police, 32RR and 92Bn CRPF in the said area and during search, one militant associate of LeT was arrested by the joint search party and later identified as Firdous Ahmad Wani son of Ghulam Muhammad resident of Check Seri Pattan.
“Incriminating materials, arms and ammunition including 01 AK-56 rifle, 01 Magazine and 30 rounds of ammunition was also recovered from his possession”, reads the above referred police statement, adding that “a case under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Panzalla and investigation has been initiated”.
