REASI, : District Employment and Counselling Centre Reasi Tuesday started a 10 day Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) for female candidates here under the Tejaswini scheme of Mission Youth J&K government. The session is being held under the supervision of Assistant Director Employment, Reasi Naresh Kumar.
During the 10-days programme, the Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) will provide a hands on training to the batch of around 50 young women with focus on self-development, basic business skills and real time business knowledge to enable them to set up their individual units, the AD Employment stated. He called upon the trainees to come forward and take the benefits of such skill development programmes for their socio-economic upliftment.
Statistical Officer, Planning Khem Raj informed that the aim of the scheme is to provide financial assistance to young women for setting up gainful self-employment ventures, suited to their skills, training, aptitude and local conditions.
