DC Ramban reviews progress on new alignment of four lanning project on Kashmir highway

Ramban  :Deputy Commissioner, Ramban,Mussarat Islam Tuesday reviewed the progress on new alignment ofprestigious NH-44 four laning project between Ramban and Banihalbesidesother works going on along the Nashri to Ramban section.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Collector, National Highway), HarbansLal, Project Director, NHAI, Parshotam Kumar, DFO, Ramban, Dr.Rajin Singh, Tehsildar, Rafiq Ahmed besides other senior officers and representatives of construction companies attended the meeting.
The DC reviewed section wise progress on widening work of Jammu-Srinagar National Highway at Nashri-Ramban and new alignment of Ramban-Banihal sections besides discussing local issues hindering pace of progress.
Earlier, representatives of construction agencies highlighted bottlenecks and issues hindering the pace of progress.
The DC resolved most of the issues on the spot by passing directions to concerned agencies. He directed DFO to resolve forest clearance related issues and provide free hand to NHAI to complete the National Highway project, which has a great importance at UT as well as National level.
Taking into account the importance of the National Highway widening project, the DC assured construction agencies full cooperation from District Administration to complete the national project as early as possible.
